Where fiber leaders talk openly about what’s next

Sunday, February 07, 2027  |  The Diplomat Beach Resort
12:30PM - 2PM: Private Lunch  |  2PM - 5PM: The Fiber Forum

The Fiber Leaders' Forum and Lunch is an invitation-only gathering of 50 C-suite fiber leaders for the conversations that matter most to their businesses, their networks and the market.

The experience begins with a private lunch, with your family invited to join you, before moving into the Forum itself.

No panels. No press. Just candid, peer-to-peer discussion, held under Chatham House Rule.

Tell us what’s keeping you thinking

Before the Forum, we’ll ask every invited leader what they want on the table.

We build the agenda around the room

From investment and partnerships to network diversification, convergence and issues emerging next, the priorities of our invitees shape the discussion.

Then we close the doors

With Chatham House Rule in place, you can share what’s working, what’s not and what you’re seeing in the market without the constraints of a public stage.

Previous leaders around the table included:

  • Chief Commercial Officer, Big Fiber
  • Chief Executive Officer, Arcadian
  • Founder and Chief Revenue Officer, DF&I

Our latest Fiber Leaders Lunch at Metro Connect Fall

What happens when fiber leaders get around the table?
Here are just a few of the conversations that emerged around the table earlier this year, at Metro Connect Fall (September 1 - 3) in Austin.

Where underground fiber economics are landing

The room converged on $10–12 per foot, all-in, as a benchmark for underground construction, alongside a wider discussion around cost per home passed, micro-trenching and where different build methods make commercial sense.

How far ahead should you build?

Operators compared approaches to future-proofing routes, including the use of 1.5-inch conduit to accommodate 864, 1728 or 3456-count cable, and the balance between building for tomorrow and over-engineering today.

Labor, lead times, permitting and the outsourcing equation

The conversation moved beyond materials into what’s determining build speed, including permitting, construction capacity, warehousing inventory and when outsourced versus in-house models make economic sense.

Where fiber and hyperscale economics meet

Leaders explored the opportunity around hyperscale and AI data center development, including wholesale relationships, capacity-sharing and whether nearby data center builds can change the economics of new fiber routes.

Should you be in the room?

The Fiber Forum & Lunch is exclusively for senior fiber operator leaders.

Attendance is by invitation only and places are deliberately limited to protect the seniority and quality of the conversation.
