We are committed to making our events as sustainable as we can. Where possible, we choose venues that are accessible by public transport, use renewable energy in their event spaces, have water-saving initiatives in place, reduce waste going to landfill and donate any left-over food to charities.

We also support the reduction of paper used at our events through digital products and eliminate single-use plastic wherever we can. We encourage everyone to bring reusable beverage containers where possible.

We are committed to making our events as sustainable as we can. Where possible, we choose venues that are accessible by public transport, use renewable energy in their event spaces, have water saving initiatives in place and reduce waste going to landfill.

Below are some of the strategies we have implemented as part of this initiative, along with other ways you can help to make the event more sustainable.

Following the best available science on the impacts of climate change, we acknowledge the urgent need to accelerate the transition towards global net zero emissions. The events industry must play its part in delivering the goals of the Paris Agreement and ensuring a just transition.

Recognising that the events industry is comprised of a complex and fragmented mix of stakeholders, we acknowledge that while individual organisations take specific actions to minimise their carbon impact, a system-wide approach is required to drive meaningful progress. In this context, we commit to supporting the goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement to limit warming to 1.5°C. We aim to support the reduction of total global GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 and will actively advocate for industry efforts throughout the value chain.

Numerous round dining tables covered in light-colored tablecloths and shaded by large white umbrellas are spread across a green artificial lawn. Dozens of professionals are seen eating, talking, or carrying plates from a buffet line setup next to a large, multi-story white hotel building.
