Valtin is group head of the Digital Infrastructure team in the Americas and a member of Societe Generale’s global TMT Executive Committee. Valtin has over 15 years of banking experience across TMT sectors covering US, Canada and Latin America. Valtin is primarily focused on Digital Infrastructure sectors such as Data Centers, Managed Hosting, Cloud Computing, Mobile Wireless, Fixed Wireless, Fiber, Cable and Small Cells. Other areas of expertise include Media, Technology, Enterprise Software and Cybersecurity. Valtin has advised on and structured transactions across North and South America ranging from direct lending, acquisition financings, project loans, cash flow loans, asset based loans, institutional term loans, and construction financings with an aggregate value in excess of US$10 billion. Valtin is a regular speaker at various industry conferences and a frequent contributor to trade publications.

Prior to joining Societe Generale, Valtin was a Director with ING Capital in New York where he was responsible for originating and underwriting Structured Finance transactions throughout the Americas.

Prior to that Valtin spent 3 years with Ernst & Young in New York covering the Asset Management industry. During his time at EY Valtin worked with Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds, covering various Structured Finance products including CDOs, CLOs and other securitized products.

Valtin holds a Master of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree from The Ohio State University (Graduation with Distinction - Honors Thesis in Modeling Prepayment Risk for Mortgage Backed Securities).
