Tyson Begly

CFO, Highline

Tyson Begly serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Highline, where he drives the strategic growth of fiber broadband connectivity in rural America. Overseeing finance, accounting, regulatory, M&A, and grant programs, Tyson combines strategic leadership with a passion for bridging the digital divide, ensuring that underconnected communities gain access to critical digital infrastructure.

With over 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and technology across diverse industries, Tyson brings a unique perspective to digital infrastructure investment. In the past year alone, he has spearheaded the closing of two strategic acquisitions to expand Highline's footprint and secured over $138 million in grant funding.

Tyson is a speaker at industry conferences, where he shares his expertise on the interplay between M&A and grant funding in the digital infrastructure space. His insights are informed by his deep understanding of technology, his experience on both sides of M&A transactions, and his passion for bridging the digital divide. This passion stems from his personal journey from a small town to big cities and back, as well as his experience as a former City Councilor, where he worked directly with local governments on development initiatives. He also recently delivered a TEDx Talk titled "Beyond City Limits: Redefining Success in Smaller Communities," further demonstrating his commitment to rural communities.

Prior to Highline, Tyson held executive roles at a private equity-backed technology company and as a consultant advising clients like Sprint, BellSouth, and EMC. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from Auburn University and an MBA from Duke University.
