Mark Murphy
Mark Murphy is the Founder, President, and CEO of Greenlight Networks, holding overall responsibility for creating, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of the organization. He also serves as a member of the company’s Board of Managers. Leading with a customer-first mentality, Murphy’s stress on the importance of superior customer service has resonated with both employees and customers. In 2022, Greenlight Networks received a Net Promoters Score of +84.5, a customer loyalty metric used to measure how likely a customer is to recommend a product or service. In 2024, Greenlight Networks was recognized as the top-rated internet service provider in Consumer Reports' Telecom Services Ratings. The company achieved an outstanding overall satisfaction score of 95 and received a perfect 5/5 across all categories, including value, reliability, speed, technical support, and customer service. The company has earned a spot on the Greater Rochester Chamber's Top 100 list of Fastest-Growing Privately Owned Companies for six consecutive years, while also ranking in the top third of the Inc. 5000 list of America's Fastest-Growing Privately Owned Companies. Prior to Greenlight, Murphy held leadership roles at XO Communications, Frontier Communications, Time Warner Cable, and Fibertech Networks.
In addition to serving on Greenlight’s Board, Murphy has been a member of the St. Bonaventure University Board of Trustees since 2022. He also recently joined the Board of Directors for OrthoLazer Orthopedic Laser Center, a company pioneering a revolutionary approach to post-orthopedic surgery recovery through advanced laser technology. Murphy was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as one of Rochester’s “Forty under 40” in 2008, named to the Rochester Business Journal “Power 50 Technology” list in 2022 and selected by the Rochester Business Journal for the “Power 100” list in 2024. Murphy earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from St. Bonaventure University.
