Jeff is the head of Mintz’s Real Estate and Communications practices in the firm’s New York office. A general commercial real estate attorney for 40 years, his real estate practice includes development, acquisitions, sales, financing for borrowers, and leasing. During the past 35 years, he has developed a unique specialty practice in the intersection of real estate with technology, communications, and energy issues. He has extensive experience in data centers, collocation facilities, distributed and in-building antenna systems, rooftop antennas, fiber-optic transactions, radio and television broadcast antennas and the wiring of buildings for broadband communications access. Jeff has also been involved in government service for many years, including, most recently, as a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.  He holds a JD from New York University and a BA from Columbia University
