Garrett Baker
Garrett Baker is the Global Co-Head of Telecom & Digital Infrastructure (TDI), and a member of the North American Management Committee at Lazard.
Mr. Baker has more than 25 years of experience advising TDI companies, having personally led more than 150 M&A transactions. He has specific expertise with fiber, broadband, mobile and digital infrastructure companies.
Mr. Baker was named as a “Top 50 Dealmaker in North America” by Global M&A Network and one of the broadband industry's top “40 Under 40 executives by MultiChannel News. Recent transactions include advising Oak Hill Capital on the sale of MetroNet to KKR & T-Mobile, Bluestream Fiber on its equity investment from Sixth Street, Stonepeak on its acquisition of Astound Broadband, Beanfield Metroconnect on its equity investment from OMERS Infrastructure, OpticalTel on its sale to DigitalBridge, and RigNet on its stock-for-stock merger with Viasat.
Prior to joining Lazard in 2016, Mr. Baker was president of Waller Capital Partners, where he led mergers and acquisitions for cable, telecom and digital media clients and managed day-to-day operations of the firm. He joined Waller Capital in 1998 and was named president in 2009. He began his career in the M&A Group at Bear Stearns. Mr. Baker graduated with honors from Wake Forest University with a BS in Analytical Finance.
