Eli D. Scher is an investor and operator with a deep analytical skill set developed across a broad range of securities and industries. He was the founder and CEO of New Continuum Holdings Corporation a greater Chicago region data center and internet exchange point (IXP) operator before selling that business to SBA Communications. Prior to founding New Continuum, Scher worked as an investment analyst at multi strategy hedge funds where he analyzed corporate securities. Earlier in his career, Scher spent 5 years living in Shanghai China where he co-founded and served as CEO of GSME Capital Partners, a private, early-stage investment partnership, and GSME Acquisition Partners I, a publicly traded special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC). Scher served as Vice Chairman of the board of Plastec Technologies from the time its merger with GSME Acquisition Partners I until Plastec disposed of its operating assets and returned capital to investors through special dividends. In his role as co-founder and CEO of GSME Capital Partners, Scher served as CFO of MCG Shanghai, a subway-based networked large format LED-screen advertising company and President of Fundamental Films a film distribution company. Currently, he advises digital infrastructure businesses and investors through United Integrity Advisors. He serves as senior advisor to JAVI, LLC the owner of 6,000 acres of land currently under development to build a 1.2GW pumped hydro energy storage facility and a hyperscale data center campus. He has also served as a director, Vice Chairman and Chairman of the OIX Association, a data center and internet exchange standards organization. Scher resides in New York City with his wife and twin 12 year old daughters.
