Patrick Coughlin
Patrick Coughlin has 30 years of sales experience and two decades of expertise in developing high-performing sales teams and marketing strategies. He has a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving substantial revenue and profit increases with Carrier/Wholesale, small and medium business, and Fortune 1000/500 clients. His career includes various senior and executive roles, such as Chief Development Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In 2019 Patrick accepted the role of Chief Development Officer at FirstLight, Patrick was tasked with leading the Mergers and Acquisitions strategy. This included overseeing due diligence, financial planning, scoping, negotiations, closing, and integration processes for 6 acquisitions. He played a critical role in the planning team, implementing negotiation strategy and leading discussions with stakeholders. During his tenure, Pat successfully completed the acquisition of six companies across three sectors: fiber infrastructure, fiber construction, and datacenter.
From 2013 to 2019, Patrick was the Chief Revenue Officer where he was responsible for managing the sales and marketing plan in addition to acting as a key member of the M&A team. The company grew revenue and EBIDTA by more than 3 times during his time in this role. He also integrated the sales and marketing organizations of more than nine acquisitions.
Previously, he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Fibertower and Vice President of Sales at RCN Metro (formerly NEON Communications and Globix Corporation), where he was responsible for sales and marketing for the U.S.
Mr. Coughlin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He presently sits on the boards of FirstLight Fiber and the Vermont Technology Alliance (vtTA).
